TANGO LESSONS
Dancing tango is a unique, unrepeatable experience—a continuous quest and movement. For 15 years I have passionately dedicated myself to conveying the language of tango, first in Argentina and later in Europe and Latin America. We dance as we are, and we are as we dance. The learning process is a journey of self-discovery. Dancing is far more than just learning a sequence of movements; it’s about connecting with ourselves, discovering our feelings, and expressing what we wish to communicate through the universal language of tango.
Over the years, I have found tango to be the most powerful tool for self-transformation and expressiveness. It helps us connect with our bodies, emotions and the obstacles that prevent us from moving forward. It greatly boosts self-esteem, reduces stress and transforms us into more loving beings. The process of a tango class involves guidance through technical tools leading to profound transformation by pushing our limits and ultimately resulting in our dance.
In each class we will address four aspects of the tango language: Technique, Structure, Connection, and Musicality. Each aspect intertwines with the others with the focus shifting between them. We associate Technique with the element of Fire: initiation and action. Structure relates to the element of Earth: the ground upon which we move, the grammar of the language. Connection is linked to the element of Air: the archetype of communication, the spoken word. Musicality is associated with the element of Water: emotions, the ocean where everything dissolves.
How can we embark on this journey?
